Rent Your Holiday Home Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through rentyourholidayhome.co.uk. We are registered in England and Wales, and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZC134259.

What data we collect
When you register as a guest
- Name and email address
- Password — managed by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth); we never store or see your password
When you register as a homeowner
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Billing information — processed by Stripe on our behalf
When you submit a booking request
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Check-in and check-out dates, guest count
- Optional message to the homeowner
When you browse the site
- IP address, browser type, and pages visited via server logs

How we use your data
- To create and manage your account
- To pass your contact details to homeowners when you submit a booking request — guests are informed of this at the point of submission
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send service emails such as account confirmation and password resets
- To moderate reviews and listing submissions
- To investigate reports of misuse
Who we share it with
Homeowners
When you submit a booking request, the homeowner receives your name, email address, and phone number to arrange the booking directly with you.
Stripe
Payment card data goes to Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
Supabase
Supabase is our database and authentication provider. Data is hosted within the EU.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
How long we keep it
Account data is retained while your account is active. Booking request data is retained for 24 months after submission.
You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@rentyourholidayhome.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to how we process it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication and password storage are handled by our provider, Supabase Auth — we never store or process your password directly. Database access is protected by row-level security policies enforced at the database layer.

If our data practices change, we will update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
